1. Dr Anastasia Papadopoulou received a Bachelor’s Degree from Agriculutre School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and Master’s of Science and PhD., in Genetics and Plant Breeding from the same Institute  Her Master and PhD. thesis is targeted in corn breeding. She has worked for three years in N.AG.RE.F., in the Cotton and Industrial Plant Research Institute. In May 1998 she joined Delta and Pine Land as a cotton breeder for Europe and Turkey and served as Research Program Manager until 2011, three years after acquisition by Monsanto. The main focus of her work was to develop varieties suitable for Mediterranean countries.  The cotton varieties DP 401 and DP 499 were released from her program as commercial varieties in Greece and Turkey respectively.  The last three years of her career in Monsanto focused on evaluation and selection cotton varieties for Africa.

2. Thomas Gouigouis studied Agriculture in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and has worked as an Assistant Breeder in Delta and Pine Land Hellas and also in Monsanto from 1999 until 2009. He has experience in variety evaluation, experimental field applications of pesticides as well as in cotton seed processing.
